How to find duplicates in your CRM

Step 1: Set up your search

  1. Log in to Dedupely and navigate to the Burger Menu tab.
  2. Click Create New Search on one of the Object type you’d like to scan, such as:
    • Contacts
    • Companies
    • Deals
    • Custom Objects
  3. Choose the fields you want to match (e.g., name, email, phone number).

Step 2: Apply filters

  • Use Dedupely’s filtering options to refine your search and exclude irrelevant records:
    • Filter by field criteria (e.g., only include active contacts).
    • Exclude records based on specific conditions, such as a “Do Not Merge” tag or custom fields.

Step 3 (optional): Refine your search pad

  • If you’d like to customize your Search Pad further:
    • Change matching techniques: Switch to Similar or Fuzzy Matching for broader detection.
    • Add filters: Include or exclude specific records based on criteria (e.g., active contacts only or custom tags like “Do Not Merge”).

Step 4: Run a scan

  1. Once you’re satisfied with the settings in your Search Pad, click Run Scan to initiate a detailed duplicate detection process.
  2. Dedupely will process your CRM data and provide a refined list of duplicates ready for review.
